Research

Research is our core. We lead funded research agendas in collaboration with partner businesses, investment firms and academic organizations.  Topics span a rich spectrum of advanced management and investment analytics, such as empirical investment screening methodologies, alternative venture funding mechanisms including revenue capital and royalty-based finance, corporate venturing process transformation, computational analytics and complex systems modeling, growth opportunity identification, M&A, empirical reductions of organizational culture, and more

Corporate Speaking and Workshops

We enjoy developing relationships and sharing our work through speaking engagements and interactive workshops. Popular topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Methodologies to better predict, in advance, if a firm will survive or fail
  • Revenue capital and royalty-based investing
  • Venture investment strategies for developing nations
  • Empirical tools to reduce, quantify and predict corporate culture and organizational change

Consulting

We offer consulting services within the scope of our research for managers and investors

  • Predict whether a business, product or service will likely survive or fail, and map the implications for investment and management professionals
  • Identify and implement the strategy with a high empirical probability of success
  • Guide M&A and post-acquisition integration
  • Build organizational capabilities to successfully evaluate and commercialize new opportunities with predictable results
  • Alternative investment strategies and portfolio design for private equity and capital markets including revenue capital and royalty-based finance

A note on ROI: Our consulting relationships have produced compelling returns-on-investment for investors and managers in firms of all sizes.  The ROI from higher performing efforts is self-evident, yet additional ROI can also be viewed through a triple constraint model.  Triple Constraint Theory holds that most efforts are constrained by scope, budget and time.  Anything that impacts one of the constraints has a reciprocal effect on the other two.  For example, increasing the scope of a project will likely increase the time and money required to meet the project’s goals

Every day we help our partners more efficiently identify and focus on the right scope for their efforts.  While a benefit in its own right, this also allows firms to save time, reduce spending, and to significantly mitigate opportunity costs

Confidentiality

We approach research, speaking engagements, workshops and consulting in an open and collaborative manner. However, given the nature of our work, private research and client agendas are held in the strictest confidence
